Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, the foundation of Dara Jazra’s career was influenced by her culture of being African American,  fine arts, working with her community, and living authentically in her eccentric elegance. With over 7 years of professional modeling experience, she specializes in runway, editorial, print, commercial, and beauty. She started her fashion career in sales, styling, marketing, creative directing, and teaching art to young women. 
Her skills background includes dance (ballet, jazz, tap, hiphop), playing the clarinet, sports (volleyball, swimming, soccer, and gymnastics), ceramics, painting, drawing, acting, fashion design/illustration, and graphic design. During her first year of college she played NCAA Division 1 volleyball while studying marketing and business at Chicago State University. She eventually went on to finish her studies at Harold Washington College while starting her career in fashion.
Her passions include advocating for diversity in the fashion industry and mental health among young women. She enjoys her love for music, nature,  history, writing, spirituality, beauty, traveling, experiencing new cultures, wellness, skincare, yoga, and creating projects and business ventures with other professional creatives in the industry.
